Khaspur was Kachari Kings’ capital. Constructed in 1690 AD, Khaspur of today holds the ruins of ancient times to highlight the historical significance of the place. Among the ruins, The Sun Gate and The Lion Gate are particularly popular with the tourists.
Sri Kancha Kanti Devi temple is a beautiful and peaceful abode of the Shakti. Venerated as a combined form of both Durga & Kali, the supremely powerful Devi herself commanded the Kachari king to build a temple for her, that is today a place of great faith and visitation.
Maniharan Tunnel is situated in Bhuban hills. It is believed that Lord Krishna had used this tunnel. Maniharan temple, which is dedicated to Krishna, is seen here. Underneath the tunnel flows the Triveni River, which is considered holy by pilgrims.
